Colby Hirtz on the reality of virtual reality...for astronauts?
ASTRONAUT TIM PEAKE PLAYS SPACE INVADERS...IN SPACE!
While on a space mission, astronaut Tim Peake and his friend Scott Kelly gets into some virtual reality tech in the vast reaches of the universe. Tim Peake was a British Astronaut and went on several space missions, and has been an International Space Station Member. Scott Kelly is also a retired astronaut but also a retired U.S. Navy captain. The two thought that they may never return to the stars again. But now they has returned to protect the Earth from the aliens that are about to destroy the world! (Not really. But in the game though.) This time, it does not have some awesome graphics or cool tech. At least not in the actual game, anyway. Firing with just their hands, both astronauts have done a marvelous job protecting the planet!
Mike Larkin on optical illusions!
Based off recent events, I decided to look up optical illusions and found this kitten. So you tell me. Is he going up or down?

Earth Day April 22, 2016 by Isabella Vanzetta
Earth Day is coming up very soon! In honor of Earth Day on April 22nd, HFIS is asking everyone to shut off the classroom lights and power down any “unused” electronics on the 21st. By turning off our lights for just one hour, we are able to keep two pounds of pollutants out of our environment! Let’s celebrate Earth Day and conserve some energy!
Pop! Time to create the biggest bubble! by Isabel Lima
Students in the 7th grade must create a hypothesis out of the question, “Which instrument/tool will make the biggest bubble?”.Then, test it out in an experiment! The soap concoction is Mr.K’s job, the students must work on creating a creative way to blow a bubble and see who’s is the biggest and which instrument/tool is most effective. The catch is students must make the instrument at home and bring it into school on Thursday, April 21. The class will go outside and test each hypothesis. We will then see what will make the biggest bubble!

Liza Bueno, Field trip?!
I found a awesome website! We can go on a field trip to an educational science barge located on the Hudson River in Yonkers. They have their own greenhouse where they grow vegetables and offer many student programs. LET'S GO!!!!!!!!!! For more info go to: Science Barge
Emily Green is concerned...what are your thoughts?
"The Hudson river is still a concern for some people in the Hudson Valley. I am also equally concerned about not only the Hudson river but it's ecosystem as well. Let's help to keep our environment safe. How do you feel about the Hudson river's situation?"
